« Le Murmure Doré » was born from a need for calm, but a calm that vibrates.

While working on this face, I sought to convey a softness, a peaceful expression, almost asleep. Then came the need to disrupt that silence.

Instinctively, I applied these thick strokes of gold, white and black paint with a palette knife. It is a quick, liberating gesture, one that contrasts with the long time needed to complete the portrait.

But why cover a face painted with such patience ?
Because our inner calm is not synonymous with fragility. In an increasingly noisy world where everything is speeding up, I felt the need to give shape to that secret garden we all carry within us.

This burst of gold running across the canvas is not a wound, it is a shield of light.
It gives form to our hopes, everything we keep to ourselves to protect it from the outside turmoil.
I wanted to show that silence is not empty, but inhabited by a powerful energy.
